The Women and Family Referral Center connects pregnant and parenting people with treatment and recovery supports. We offer individualized information and referrals to help women access harm reduction, substance use treatment such as outpatient and residential services, peer recovery supports, medical referrals, and services for children. We also help healthcare providers and others working with pregnant and parenting people to identify and access services and support.
All callers to the Women and Family Referral Center are warmly welcomed, and our Access Coordinators work closely with each caller to gather a full understanding of their needs and preferences, and to support decisions regarding care and next steps.

OUR services

Pregnant people have priority access to all addiction treatment services in Massachusetts.
All pregnant people who contact the WFRC are warmly welcomed to engage in services. Pregnancy is a time of opportunity. People are assessed over the phone to gain a full understanding of their current needs and preferences and to determine the appropriate level of care needed.

Resources

We work to connect people with services, offering interim phone counseling and providing resources for pregnant and postpartum people in Massachusetts. This includes supportive housing placement, Early Intervention services for young children, peer recovery support, and addiction recovery services. Learn more about some of the resources available.
